The Loewenstein build brought in many exciting custom elements showcasing raw materials of Golden. Working with them while they still lived back east showed us how distance is not a problem when it comes to homebuilding.

THE MOUNTAINS ARE CALLING
One doesn’t build any home in a place like Golden without dedicated mountain views! Waking up and sipping a coffee in front of the amazing peaks will be no problem for these two. Exterior timber from International Timber Frames and an amazing solid railing offers a great balance of privacy and openness to the outdoors.
DISTANCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER
Because the Loewenstein’s were still living in Ontario for much of the build, we were sure to communicate as much as possible using photos and updates on progress. While they did make it out for two trips to choose their exterior and interior finishes. They put complete trust in us which we both greatly appreciated and did not take lightly.
Communication is critical, and we wanted them to stay excited about the project even if they couldn’t be there themselves.
Working with Jon and Joan was an absolute pleasure from our first meeting until we passed them the keys. Their excitement about leaving their home of 30 years and moving across the country to be close to family was inspiring.
CUSTOM DETAILS
A tabletop fit for epic brunch spreads, holiday feasts or even just to admire with nothing on it, this live edge beauty is central to the kitchen and entertaining area. We also loved these sort of details showcased with a custom bookshelf handmade by our very own Cody.
The carport is also outfitted with an electric car charger, so we were excited to see this innovation literally built into the home.
Kyle, Mich and Cody gave utmost attention to detail throughout the project, which is essential when putting together custom elements like these.
